Bio

David O’Brien is an artist and certified architect.  He was born in Washington D.C. and holds a 5-year B.Arch degree from Virginia Tech. He worked on large scale museum projects for famed architect Frank Gehry before pursuing his own career as an artist.

David has held solo art exhibitions in Los Angeles, Berlin and New Mexico, including his first solo museum exhibition in 2016 at the Center for Contemporary Art in Santa Fe.  His first major public art commission was completed in 2017 for the state of New Mexico. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions including shows at LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions) and MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Los Angeles.   His current practice makes use of drawing, video, photography, painting, printmaking and sculpture.
